iQ HealthMaps

Effective commissioning requires a much more detailed understanding of the diverse health needs of the local population, and the relationship of these needs with social and environmental determinants of health, in order to target healthcare improvements to areas of greatest need, optimise service delivery and reduce costs.

iQ HealthMaps combines patient data from practices' clinical systems, validated secondary care data from iQ Budget & Data Manager, predictive risk modelling, socio-demographic insight and information on community resources in an easy-to-use mapping and analysis tool. It allows the collation, sharing and understanding of anonymised information across all consortium members; it can provide real-time, postcode-level information to the local authority to deliver a more effective JSNA and public health services; and it provides patient level insight to the GPs delivering care.
